Sherry Worth

Recalling the times she helped her father with school fundraisers, Sherry Worth was already familiar with the idea when she joined the PTA at Root Elementary in 1982. By 1983 she was in charge of the fall fundraiser for the school and on her way to breaking one fundraising goal after another. A long list of groups benefitted: Root, Daniels Middle, Broughton High, the Raleigh Arts Society, the Raleigh Bicentennial, the NC Society to Prevent Blindness, United Way, and Wake Education Partnership.
