Last week we held our annual Stars of Education awards gala. More than 400 educators, business leaders, elected officials, and community members celebrated education in the Wake County Public School System.
We wholeheartedly thank each one of our attendees who made the night a resounding success. Our Teacher Innovation Grantees, WCPSS Hall of Fame Inductees, and Vernon Malone Friend of Education Award recipients have repeatedly told us how humbled they were by the entire event.
Additionally, we thank our attendees for 333 cards of appreciation written for Stars Among Us. Teachers, principals, and district staff shine bright every day in Wake County Public Schools. These cards are in route to classrooms and offices across our district at this very moment!
