Teresa Pierrie oversees the development, coordination, and administration of Wake Education Partnership programs. Her scope of responsibilities includes planning, organizing, leading, and managing programs.
Teresa brings 30 years of experience in public education to her position, serving in the classroom as a teacher, in district leadership as a program administrator, and as a school administrator. She is passionate about educational innovation and personalization, especially in secondary school settings. Teresa earned two masters’ degrees, one in adult education and one in school administration, from North Carolina State University.
Teresa and her husband Richard have lived in Wake County for 30 years. They are the proud parents of three Wake County Public School System graduates, one of whom is now a Wake County Public School System educator.
Teresa’s community service includes American Red Cross blood drives, performing arts volunteer work, and advocacy to end human trafficking through PATH NC – Partners Against the Trafficking of Humans in North Carolina.
