Nita Fulbright was a pioneer for the Wake County Public School System and a leader in the business community. She formed the Wake County PTA Council and served as the eastern representative of the North Carolina PTA. Nita was one of the founders of WakeEd Partnership—a first of its kind organization in the southeast United States. As vice president for marketing and membership development at the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, Nita was a champion of small businesses and women in business. Nita passed away in May 2015 and is being honored posthumously after years of service to the education and business community in Wake County.
Nita Fulbright was inducted into the Wake County Public School System Hall of Fame in 2015.
