Lauren Kennedy Brady

As an actress, Lauren appeared on Broadway in Spamalot (Lady of the Lake), Les Misérables (Fantine), Side Show (Daisy Hilton, original cast), Sunset Blvd. (original cast). Off-Broadway: Vanities (Mary/Second Stage), Good Ol’ Girls.  National Tour and London: South Pacific (Nellie Forbush/National Theatre), Sunset Blvd. (Betty Schaefer).  Favorite Original Work: The Last Five Years (Cathy), The Rhythm Club (Petra/Helen Hayes Award nom. for Best Lead Actress), White Christmas (Judy Haines), Zelda (Barrymore Nomination for Best Actress/Flat Rock Playhouse/LENAPE), and Vanities (Mary/Pasadena Playhouse).  Recordings:  Vanities, South Pacific (Original London Cast), Sunset Blvd, Good News (with The London Symphony), The Paul Simon Album (Varese Sarabande).  Ms. Kennedy’s solo recordings are available on the PS Classics. Lauren has participated in teaching workshops at Fuquay-Varina High School, Rolesville High School, Conn Elementary, Moore Square Middle School (Theatre Thursdays). And has made appearances at Pieces Of Gold during her time at (and even after she graduated from) Broughton High School in 1991.

Her theatre company, Theatre Raleigh, has also performed their Family Series shows for over 1000 WCPSS students at Student Matinees hosted at the Kennedy Theatre.

Lauren Kennedy Brady was inducted into the Wake County Public School System Hall of Fame in 2018.
