As a parent, education has been a top priority since your little one was born. We understand that.

We feel the responsibility to your family, and the thousands of families just like yours around Wake County, to ensure your child receives the best education. Every student deserves an excellent public education.

Wake Education Partnership is convening the community and businesses to create educational excellence for all students in the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS).

Every student deserves an excellent public education. WakeEd works to ensure that happens.

We fill in the gaps for public education. Whether we are awarding teacher grants to bring more STEM projects into classrooms, negotiating access for students to get additional learning opportunities with local companies, or advocating for education with local lawmakers, we are working to put the pieces together that make public education work. Every day we serve as a conduit to assist WCPSS in connecting business and community resources with schools.

Well-informed citizens make sound decisions that help public schools succeed. Our team is here to provide clear, independent commentary and review of education policy issues. We strive to see all sides of the issue and pick a path that moves our students forward, and we make sure you know about it.

Investments in WakeEd have already impacted Wake County public schools.

We are Making a Difference:

Through our Teacher Innovation Grants, we have invested more than $1.5 million in innovative learning experiences for students.

WakeEd is the only education nonprofit in Wake County focused on education policy, advocacy, and independent reporting of issues affecting our local school district.

We honor the top educators in our community with the Vernon Malone Friend of Education Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award for those who have dedicated their professional or personal life to the field of public education. We also maintain the WCPSS Hall of Fame to honor outstanding educators in our community.

WakeEd serves on the leadership team for WAKE Up and Read, a community-wide collaborative that address school readiness, summer learning loss, school attendance, and health and wellness.
