IBM Executive to Lead Education Trustee Board

WAKE COUNTY – Wake Education Partnership, an independent public education advocacy organization, announces its new chair of the Board of Trustees for 2006-07. Rusine Mitchell-Sinclair, Vice President of Strategy and Implementation and N.C. senior state executive with IBM, was named head of the Partnership’s Trustees at last week’s meeting.

A 24-year veteran of IBM with nine years in RTP, Mitchell-Sinclair has served on the foundation board of the N.C. School of Science and Mathematics and as chairwoman of the N.C. Electronics and Information Technologies Association (NCEITA), an advocacy group for tech companies. She joined the Partnership’s Board of Trustees in 2005.

Members of the Board of Trustees establish and advocate for priorities for community involvement in the schools; develop adequate financial and human resources to support Partnership initiatives and programs; and coordinate interaction of business, community and education institutions with the Wake County Public School System.
