Four Wake County business leaders were recently selected to serve as the newest members of Wake Education Partnership’s Board of Directors. Those selected for the three-year appointments are:
- Jason Boyers, national division president of The Chef’s Academy;
- Rita Jerman, Senior Vice President for Student Services of Wake Technical Community College;
- Andrew Krieman, leader of the Culture and Community Team at Allscripts;
- Pamela Young, Director of Staff Development and Training for WakeMed Health & Hospitals.
As national president of The Chef’s Academy in the Culinary Division of Harrison College, Jason Boyers oversees an operation that includes a campus in Indianapolis and a second academy on 4.37 acres that opened in the Triangle last August. In 2003, he took a two-year sabbatical to help start and create the Fort Wayne Center for Learning, a non-profit in Indiana with an annual budget of $600,000.
Rita Jerman is responsible for Wake Tech’s efforts to help students focus on academic and employment goals. She manages an operational budget of about $8 million and leads a division of more than 160 employees providing services to more than 24,000 students seeking certificates, diplomas, or degrees.
Andrew Krieman has spent the last 20 years in Healthcare IT. Leading organizations from five to 220 people, he has helped implement client web sites, career planning programs, employee engagement programs, and customer satisfaction/loyalty programs. He currently leads the Culture and Community Team at Allscripts.
Pamela Young is responsible for WakeMed’s non-clinical education, overseeing leadership and employee learning opportunities for all staff throughout the system. She and her team work with management development education programs through WakeMed’s Leadership Academy, as well as employee development programs such as computer training, new employee orientation, and WakeMed’s corporate culture program.
The terms for the newest directors of Wake Education Partnership begin July 1.
